Engage Your Energy
Rejoice by Choice to Break the Enemies Power

Above and Beyond April

In just a few weeks, I will begin one of my all-time favorite courses to teach.  Engaging your Energy. Is a 4 week training ($59 regular price) and is all about making the most of every single day by activating some simple principles of organization, gratefulness, and expectation of good. We will take baby steps and reinforce every single principle with accompanying worksheets. I will be teaching not only how to create some good habits, but how to take them to autopilot “where the magic occurs.”

As you follow along in the April blog posts, you will be seeing overviews of these principles. If you jump on board as a member, you will be receiving this course taught live via Zoom as a GIFT bonus included in your $10.00 a month membership. Members will receive archives of each class for review or makeup if a class has to be missed, as well as confidential posted tools and discounts on Fabufit products

For the month of April, which I have named “Above and Beyond April”, you will see posts relating to our theme of Engaging Your Energy. You will learn so much more if you jump inLet’s look at an overview:

      SOARING

Soaring is a technique I learned almost a decade ago at a Robert Allen Millionaire Conference. This was one of my very favorite take away’s from this week of training. Soaring is a wonderful, but simple, tool to help us keep taking baby steps and growing in our life journey.  You know, we never stand still in life. We are either going forward or we are going backward. The tide of the world is backward into fear, stress and “overwhelm”. It takes a dedicated decision to get off of that backward slide. But with a plan and simple baby steps, we can step into “The Success Curve” of life.

In a book by Jeff Olson, The Slight Edge, (Can we place this book on Amazon Fabufit if not already there and put a link) He tells us that at all times in life on any particular area (health, fitness, inch loss, prosperity, etc.) we are either on the “Success Curve” or we are on the “Failure Curve”. Both paths run rather parallel at first. We may not even any difference at all in the results we might see being on the Success Curve in comparison to our buddy, who we know is on the Failure Curve. However, with time and consistently, suddenly the Success Curve begins to take a dramatic swing upward, while the Failure Curve for our buddy takes a tremendous curve downhill.

The good news to this is: if we begin taking little baby steps consistently on the Success Curve Path, we will see some amazing results with time. This is the training I help our members with. We learn to take baby steps in health and fitness so we can live long, strong and fit for all of our years on the earth.

Success and Failure are choices. Success begins when you decide you aren’t going to quit. Failure begins when you decide, “I can’t take it anymore.” A choice!

      DANCING

The Dance Recipe for problem solving is a technique I learned and personalized many years ago. It is a unique, simple and powerful strategy for conquering those problems that steal our energy, our fitness and our health. There are six simple steps to this dance. Since John and I are taking Ballroom Dancing lessons, I like the phrase, “six simple steps.”

          1. Identify the problem.

          1. List what you think caused the problem.

          1. Pray and ask the Lord for wisdom according to James 1:5

        pastedGraphic_4.png

            1. List all the possible solutions God gives you –(what comes to your mind after you pray)

            1. Decide which solution seems best.

            1. Dance with the steps until the answer surfaces and you have peace in your heart. Take the next step.

          Order to our Day

“If we fail to plan, we are planning to fail.” It takes so much longer to accomplish a project or even to walk through a day with victory if we have no plan. I am always looking for the very best way to plan my days. Very recently I found a treasure concerning planning on the internet that has brought such joy to my heart.

First, let me tell you about two techniques I have used for many years and still use today. These will be valuable to use on their own or to incorporate them into the treasure I will tell you about.

          pastedGraphic_6.png

              1. Daily Framework

              1. The Big Six

Our Daily Framework is a set of actions, positive rituals, that provide a solid foundation for the success of our day. With time and training these will become habits, which will progress into routines and go on to auto-pilot with time. Auto-pilot is “where the magic begins”. When routines are on autopilot, they are just a part of who we are and they are easy to implement. In fact they are then easier to do than not to do.

An example of my personal Daily Framework is:

                • Bible Reading

                • Exercise

                • Planning

                • Dance Practice (as we prepare for our 50th wedding anniversary)

              The Big Six

Andrew Carnegie hired a consultant to make his business more prosperous. One idea in particular that the consultant taught him, he was never billed for. He told the consultant that he was never billed for it and the man said, “Why don’t you just pay me for what you thought it was worth.” Carnegie sent him a check for $20,000.

              pastedGraphic_7.png

So what is the Big Six? It is simply a list of all the things you need to do today. Go back and put numbers on the top six. When it is clear to you what #1 is, stay on #1 until it is completed or it changes. All you do all day long is work on the #1 item. You focus on #1, thinking of no other item on your list. I have implemented this for many years now, always searching for the very best way to capture and work with my list. I have used a variety of tools over these years: a day planner, my digital reminders on my Iphone, and/or a beautiful designed planner for each day. Sometimes it takes searching to find your favorites that work for you. ADD AMAZON LINK TO THE ERIN COCHREN PLANNER I USE.

              GRATITUDES

This is another practice I have loved for many years. As I look back over my research and notes on this subject, I realize it is important enough to do an entire course on Gratitudes. Watch for it. Everyone will be invited and all of our members of the Fabulously Fit over 50 Club will receive it as a bonus gift. The bible talks a bunch about the importance of being grateful.

              Psalm 100:4

Enter into his gates with thanksgiving, and into his courts with praise: be thankful unto him, and bless his name.

              Hebrews 13:15

Through Him, therefore, let us constantly and at all times offer up to God a sacrifice of praise, which is the fruit of lips that thankfully acknowledge and confess and glorify His name.

For myself I wish to become a Master of Gratitude. A master at anything is someone who practices and practices the subject. Many many times gratefulness (thankfulness) is a sacrifice. Are there days when you just wish to murmur and complain? Me too, but we can’t. The consequences are too steep. Some days it is a minute by minute process of capturing those thoughts that will take us downhill. Then we want to immediately begin thinking on things good and pure and lovely and of a good report. Seems a bit impossible. However, God would never tell us to do this if it were not possible. With God nothing is ever impossible. Lk 1:37

              Hebrews 13:15

By him therefore let us offer the sacrifice of praise to God continually, that is, the fruit of our lips giving thanks to his name

Pastor Keith Craft says, “Personal greatness will never be revealed if GRATITUDE is always concealed. “

Have You Ever Heard of Keeping a Gratitude Score?-

Our Gratitude Score, which I have adapted from a lady named Mary Kay Mueller so many years ago, is our GIFT Score.

G – Gratefulness for the present. This is most likely one of the healthiest of all emotions. “It actually ranks above the status of emotions as it is a positional attitude which we choose with our Spirit man.” ~ Keith Craft

I – Intentional Hope for the Future

F – Forgiveness of the Past and forgiveness toward everyone who we might have any unforgiveness toward.

T – Trust moment my moment in a never failing Heavenly Father.

Mary Kay defines an Attitude Score as “The percentage of the time that one is thinking positively versus negatively (unforgiving , ungrateful and hopeless and I would add – without trust.)

We seem to attract people of like GIFT scores as our own. Oh dear, we might think. But we can be continually raising our GIFT score now that we know about it.

Gratitude is actually a law. To get the results you seek in life, it is absolutely necessary that we know about and observe this law.

              pastedGraphic_8.png

Gratitude encompasses love.  Can’t have much gratitude or any without the emotion of love. Gratitudes – We can begin to live right now AS IF what we are wanting to create is already here.  Faith and Expectation through Gratitude are the fast route to living AS IF.

              THE PRAISE CURE

              PSALM 103: 1-7.

              LILIAN B. YEOMANS, M.D.

              Good News, July 1924, vol 15, no.7.

Years ago, I read three books by Dr. LilianYeomans. In one of these faith building books, she explained The Praise Cure. This cure is so very powerful and this story so wonderful, I wish to quote it here:

“We can stand on God’s Word for salvation and healing after we have met God’s conditions and have grounded every weapon of rebellion, and can praise our way through to perfect, manifested victory. This I call the Praise Cure; and it never fails when the praise is the outflow of a heart resting on God’s unchanging love. Years ago a missionary from China was at Beulah Heights, who had a most wonderful healing from smallpox, while on the field by the application of the Praise Cure.

Though she had not been vaccinated, she fearlessly helped a sister missionary, who had the disease, standing on God’s promise that no plague should come nigh her dwelling, when a very bad case of confluent small-px (that was what it looked like to the doctors) came on her. She did not know what to do, so she asked the Lord, and He told her to sing and praise Him for His faithfulness to His Word. Others took her and shut her up and told her to he quiet, but she said if she didn’t praise God the very stones would cry out. So she sang and sang, and praised and praised. The doctor said he feared for her life–that the case was infectious, and awful complications were tlneatening; but she praised and praised, and sang and sang. He said she was evidently delirious but they had so little help that he couldn’t restrain her, and she sang and sang, and praised and praised. They told her that if by any chance she recovered she would be disfigured for life; and she sang and praised louder than ever. They asked: ‘Why do you praise so much?” And she answered, “because I have so many pocks on me, God shows me I must praise Him for each one separately.” And she kept right at it. “The Lord had shown her a vision of two baskets, one containing her praising, half full, and the other one, in which was her testing. He told her that the praise basket must be filled so that it would out- balance the others, so she kept at it. Her songs and shouts were so Spirit-filled that they were contagious, and the nurses, who were Christians, couldn’t resist joining in them; so they kept the place ringing. At last the Lord showed her that the Praise basket was full and overflowing. She saw it sink, and the testing basket rise in the air; and in a moment, as it seemed, the eruption and all attending symptoms vanished, leaving no trace in the way of so much as a single scar.

Perhaps, to some, that may seem almost too much to believe; but I, from my personal experience, can furnish a case where the smallpox eruption disappeared instantaneously in answer to believing prayer and the application of the Praise Cure.

One evening, we were about to open the meeting at the mission where I was then working, when a man ran hastily into the hall and asked to have a few moments’ private conversation with me. I led the way to the prayer room and, coming up quite close to me

(I saw that he believed that I really believed in Divine Healing), he said:

“Dr. Yeomans, my wife has just come out all over with smallpox!”

“How do you know that it is smallpox?” I inquired.

“Why, we had a doctor who said so, and told us not to stir from the house, as he was going down to get the health doctor and have the place placarded ‘SMALLPOX’ without a moment’s delay. But as soon as he had left the house, my wife said, ‘Run down to the Mission—they will just be beginning the meeting-—-and get Dr. Yeomans to pray, and I am sure God will clear this plague off my skin and out of my blood.'”

So right on the spot we applied the Praise Cure by “absent treatment,” as the Christian Scientists say, and the brother ran home to find his wife without a single trace of the disease. A little later the doctor returned with the health doctor, and was unmercifully joshed by the latter for reporting a, case of smallpox when there wasn’t a pock in sight, nor any symptom

“Where is your smallpox?” the health official inquired.

“It was here when I left.”

“Well, where is it now?” inquired the health doctor, and with some jokes as to the probable character of the beverages which his colleague had been indulging in, he left the place without further comment.

Yes, the Praise Cure works every time. It is not unpleasant; rather, it is delightful. The cost of it has been met for us by another, and it is available this moment to each and every one of us.

Are you ready to begin it? The last clause of the 8th verse of the 1st chapter of the 1st epistle of Peter tells us exactly how to begin. Listen, “BELIEVING, ye rejoice with joy unspeakable and full of glory.”

              I love this Praise Cure.

God is for you.  God is such a good God.  Remember, there is an entire host of angels just waiting to work in your behalf.
